A Glimpse of Gorgeous

Walking to school again and I couldn't help but notice the beautiful trees ahead of me. The puddles were gross and muddy and I had been dodging them for my whole walk...thankfully I could see this one in a slightly different mindset.

Two Colours of Fall

Again, a cold fall morning, frost the night before. I was in pants and a t-shirt and the indoors with a nice fire was so warm...but I could see this leaf from across the field, and it tempted me out of the comfortable Chemawa Lodge. If you ever have a similar opportunity I advise putting on a sweater at least - it took me the better part of the morning to warm back up again.

Azure Communications

Communication. Our world depends on it, and rightfully so. Communication is probably the most important aspect of life. Let us not forget that telephones and internet are not the only means of communication though. Snail mail is the most exciting form of communication, and prayer the most necessary.

Drops of Grace

Rain is can make the world a beautiful place. This was the morning after a miserable, lock-yourself-inside kind of day - it was worth the miserable day just so this morning would come. The title of the picture comes from a poem I wrote - http://abreathoftime.blogspot.com/2008/11/grace-like-rain.html

Reflection of Warmth

A cold autumn morning walk to school, on one of those days that didn't require a backpack full of textbooks...so I brought my camera instead! The sun was shinning and made everything look so much warmer (very deceiving).

Curbside Beauty

Hey, who knew that even the gross, mushy city leaves could look beautiful in the fall?! I guess there is a little beauty in everything. A glimpse of grace, a blink of beauty from a God who said "it is good."

Balsam Boat

A balsam boat. What a mavelous collection of colour! The fall leaves reflected in the background and a rainbow smear on the surface. Oh how I love fall hikes.

Reaching for Heaven

On a bright and cloudy summer day this tree stood out like a masterpiece. It gave up on life awhile ago, but it still lives on in beauty. Reaching for heaven with it's arms open wide, I hope I'll look something like this when I die.

Fall Jeans

It had been a reasonably long walk so far and there was a beautiful lookout too, so my family and I decided to take a break from our hike. And this leaf decided to take a break on my lap.

Golden Morning

A gorgeous dew-covered morning greeted me that weekend. The sun woke me up at about 7 o'clock and a grabbed my camera and captured a couple beautiful pictures. The yellow light from this tree caught my attention, and the picture describes that morning better than words.
